Hold Down Bolts –
• Fix structural elements to concrete.
• These bolts, sometimes need to be adjusted, to fit the base plates of the steel structures

The BLOCKOUT, is used in the building, construction and mining industries where Hold Down Bolts are specified.

The Polystyrene method has many associated issues.

Polystyrene is -
• Environmentally unfriendly
• Time consuming (With huge man hours expended  setting up and digging out polystyrene. The crews are reluctant to undertake this task)
• Single use (An additional cost to the job)
• Tools required to assist removal (Everyone has tried everything to make this removal more convenient and time efficient. For example - vacuum cleaners, chisels, hammers, drills, steel rods (This adds further expense and potential safety  and environmental issues) (Storage and disposal of waste is another complication)

Who is going to benefit from the BLOCKOUT? – The Client, Mining and Construction Companies, Tradesman and Workers.
BLOCKOUT can be used in all construction activities that require Hold Down Bolt voids.

The BLOCKOUT can be manufactured for all bolt sizes.

I use local, and or, Queensland suppliers and manufacturers in the production of the BLOCKOUT

The BLOCKOUT is:

  • Quick set up and removal time

  • No tools required

  • Efficient

  • Reusable

  • Cost effective

  • Environmentally friendly

  • Recyclable

The BLOCKOUT invention has eliminated the time-consuming task of digging out Polystyrene from Hold Down Bolts.
